Reports
A hard-fought draw in the capital still means that Burnley slip a
place to 6th in the Division. Andy Cooke marked his return to
the starting lineup with a headed goal from a Paul Cook corner
after only 12 minutes.
Burnley should have gone two up after Steve Davis hit the bar in
the first half, but then the lead was cancelled out by Tim
Cahill's equaliser after 70 minutes.
The midfielder was put clear by Paul Ifill, with the Burnley
defence appealing for offside after a mistake from Paul Smith.
Later, Paul Crichton made some excellent point-blank saves to
keep Burnley in it.
What they said..
MILLWALL came away from The Den on Saturday with a lucky escape,
after Burnley's superior first half performance showed The Lions
what is needed to be a strong force in this division.
