Gordon Armstrong
Joined the Clarets from Bury on the same day as Peter Swan, on a
free transfer. Scored on his debut at Walsall, then became
captain in the first few weeks at the club. Has played in both
defence and midfield, often in a sweeper role.
He's not one of the fans' favourites, and never has been, but is
a fairly consistent performer and is working well with Davis and
Armstrong at the back. During the promotion season from division
two he fell out of favour and warmed the substitutes' bench for
