Gordon Cowans

Quick-witted midfielder who came to Burnley at the start of Chris Waddle's managership. Although his role was expected to be as reserve team coach (who gained promotion under his leadership), he was pushed into service during injury crises. Cowans left after Waddle's departure in the 1998 close season.
