David Eyres
Another Burnley hero, Eyres will probably be best remembered for
his terrific solo goal in the Wembley Play-off final against
Stockport County. Signed from Blackpool by Jimmy Mullen, he
played several seasons and a vital part in the promotion
campaign. During his time he played in defence, midfield in
attack. He was sold by Chris Waddle for ú75,000 to Preston North
